He completed his studies as a doctor of dental surgery (DDS) and oral maxillofacial surgery (OMS) at the Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Faculty of Dentistry.
He specialized in medical trauma, reconstructive, pathology, TMJ, and facial deformity surgeries at the Metropolitan Hospital in Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.
Dr. Villarreal has international training, attending general Maxillofacial Surgery at the Military Hospital of Santiago, Chile.
He also trained in microvascular surgery at Gregorio Marañon Hospital in Madrid, Spain.
Additionally, he trained in different TMJ, Implantology, and Orthognathic Surgery techniques at the Santa Paula Hospital in Sao Pablo, Brazil.
